SunNews Daily launched in 2017 with a simple idea: people wanted news that got to the point. No 2,000-word think pieces when a story could be told in 400. No jargon. No assumption that readers had been following a story for weeks.

We cover England — crime, sport, politics, cost of living, health, the stuff that actually affects how people live. Our reporters are based across the country, not in a single London office.

The team

Danny Pearce covers crime, politics and breaking news. He spent eight years at a regional daily before joining SunNews at launch. He's based in Birmingham.

Stacey Okafor covers sport, entertainment and human interest stories. She came to journalism from a sports PR background and brings an insider's understanding of how sports organisations work — and how they spin.
